I've had the pleasure of working with Aron Harris for more than a decade, from our first meeting in the photo pits of the Toronto live music scene to his joining ADDICTED Magazine as our Music Editor. As a visual medium, Aron's talent in photography is plain to see. His attention to detail and artistic eye produce outstanding work.
But what is not so visible is Aron's impressive work ethic, efficiency, and organizational skills, all of which are assets to running the ADDICTED Music section. What impresses me most, however, is Aron's empathy and sense of community, which are evident in all aspects of his work. It is apparent in his mentorship and management of our music photographers, often younger individuals starting out in the field, whom Aron helps to cultivate their talent and foster their opportunities to grow.
It's also visible in the larger Toronto Music Photographer community, where Aron helps educate and support his fellow shooters with his insight into techniques, photographers' rights and responsibilities, or just looking out for them in the pit at a show, like he once did with me. Aron is an asset to any organization he works with, and I'm lucky he's chosen to work with mine for 10+ years.
